Anemometers
Anemometers are commonly found in weather stations and are used to measure the speed of wind. The name comes from the Greek word 'anemos' meaning wind. The Anemometer was invented by Battista Alberti.
There are two common types of Anemometer measurement:
- wind velocity
- wind pressure
As there is a close relationship between velocity and pressure, many Anemometers will quantify both.
